Pixels Defense is a mobile game based on the movie Pixels; it was developed by Manifesto Games and released in 2015 by Bandai Namco Entertainment America. As in the film, Pac-Man is a lead antagonist. It was delisted from digital stores in 2016.
Trivia
- Despite the game's digital services being discontinued in January of 2016, the game appears to have remained on the Google Play Store for approximately two months following this date.[1]
- Donkey Kong does not appear in Pixels Defense, despite his large role in the film; this is presumably due to not being able to license the rights from Nintendo. In contrast, Dig Dug appears as a villain in the game, but is not in the actual movie (though Fygar is).
