Pacula is the first segment of the fourth episode of the first season of the Pac-Man animated series. The episode, along with its sister, are considered the Halloween episodes of the show.
Synopsis
After the ghosts fail yet again, Mezmaron replaces them with a vampire of his creation, Count Pacula.
Plot
The Ghost Hound detects a tombstone.
In a dark and stormy night, the Ghost Monsters are trying to find the Power Pellet Forest with the help of a Power Pellet sniffing ghost hound only for them to all find Pac-Man who had disguised himself as a grave stone and confiscate his Power Pellets and chase him. Pac-Man then uses a gravestone to eat Power Pellets and scare the ghosts. Pinky disguises himself as a TV antenna only for him to get struck by lightning and become a pair of eyes. Sue hides in potted flowers but Pac-Man isn't fooled and promptly chomps her. Inky gets a shovel and digs himself into a hole but he gets chomped by a skeletal Pac-Person. Pac-Man walks into the president graveyard and notices Blinky and Clyde and chomps them both.
Pacula is revealed.
At Mezmaron's lair, he tells the Ghost Monsters that they have been replaced with the bat he has taken into a monster known as Count Pacula who is sent out to find the location of the Power Forest. During a screening of Pac Wars, he chomps multiple Pac-People and causes them to run away, much to the confusion of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. They then see the winged threat harassing various Pac-People which prompts Pac-Man to try and put a stop to this which leads to Pacula chasing him and Pac-Man getting cornered as a result.
Pac-Man discovers Pacula's weakness to Power Pellets.
Ms. Pac then brings back-up Power Pellets which causes Pacula to get scared away which Pac-Man takes advantage of until he trips and tells Pac-Man that he has until midnight for Pac-Man to tell him the location of the Power Forest or else he will chomp all of Pacland, he then tells him that he is at the haunted castle and then flies away.
The Ghost Vampires.
The jealous Ghost Monsters don't want Pacula to overshadow them so Clyde makes a formula that will turn everyone into Ghost Vampires and everyone promptly drinks it. They then turn into Ghost Vampires and fly out of Mezmaron's lair. Pac-Man reads up on Pacula in order to turn him back into a bat and heads off into a swamp with Ms. Pac to find the haunted castle. Pac-Man then alters the clock into saying it's almost midnight and find Pacula in his coffin. When he demands the answer on the forest's location, Vampire Sue and Vampire Clyde show up with the latter arguing with Pacula until the clock starts to ring which prompts Pacula to announce how he is going to chomp everyone in Pac-Land. Pac-Man and Ms. Pac then open his windows to make a beam of sunlight to weaken him and allow Pac-Man and Ms. Pac to eat the Power Pellets.
Pacula runs away from Pac-Man but gets chomped by him which causes him to revert back to being a normal bat. Vampire Sue and Vampire Pinky hide in the coffin but Ms. Pac chomps the both of them in the coffin. Vampire Inky asks who is the smartest ghost until Pac-Man shoves the mirror out of the way and chomps him as well. Vampire Blinky and Clyde fly away from Pac-Man and Ms. Pac and enter a suit of armor which prompts Pac-Man to beat the armor with drumsticks which reduces the two to being eyes and flying away. Pac-Man boasts that he was never scared by Pacula until the coffin opens and cause him and Ms. Pac to run away in fear, ending the episode.

Errors
- Pacula's eyes change color and gain a shadow after Pac-Man falls over and drops the Power Pellet.
- They also change color when the Vampire Ghosts show up to harass Pacula and when he gets chased by a powered up Pac-Man.
- When Inky drinks the vampire formula, his eyes turn cyan.
- When Vampire Inky argues with Pacula, he has Clyde's colors.
- When Pacula says he's going to chomp everyone in Pac-Land, he gets a lighter skin tone and gets painting errors on his hair.
- When Vampire Inky asks the mirror on who is the smartest ghost, his hat clips over the mirror.
- When the Ghost Monsters yell Pac-Man's name after he emerges from the ground, the closed captions spell the latter's name as "Pacman" without the hyphen.
Trivia
- When the Ghost Monsters eyes float in they had water dripping from them. The first time was because of them being wet from the rain and the second was because they were crying over losing their job. It is unknown how they got their job back in later episodes.
- The way Pacula is created is closer to how Frankenstein's Monster was created.
- The movie Pac Wars is a parody of the Star Wars series.
- Clyde's full name, "Clyde Q. Ghost Monster", is a pun on the term "IQ".
