"Okay, boss!"

— Jack, Pac'N Roll

Jack (ジャック Jakku)[1] is Golvis's magic guitar and the source of his power. He appears in Pac'N Roll.

Appearance

Jack has the appearance of a red electric guitar with three spikes on his Headstock. He has a single dark blue eye in the Headstock's center and a bent Fretboard. His fretboard can alter itself to look like a mouth or a nozzle. Jack's neck is decorated with orange, white-trimmed stripes. His two small arms resemble musical notes when his hands are on his sides.

In Pac-Man Monsters, Jack is given a new design, being colored magenta with a grey fingerboard. When Funny Golvis evolves into Golvis, Jack becomes blue with visible, sharp teeth.

Powers and abilities

Jack has an array of powers that allow him to do many things, such as using a purple beam to transform living beings. A variant of this beam in the form of three orbs can also be used as an attack during the final phase of Golvis' UFO. He can turn into a vacuum, inhaling large amounts of air and releasing it with great force. Jack can also spin like a fan, creating strong gusts of wind that can push Pac-Man off the stage or pull him towards Golvis. When Golvis is low on health in Sweet Land, and during the final phase of Golvis' UFO, Golvis will use Jack to summon the Ghost Gang. Jack can also regenerate the Ghost Gang as well as Golvis. During the boss stage of Flaming Fortress and phase three of Golvis' UFO, Golvis can use Jack's ability to move large objects with his movements, causing Pac-Man to bounce across the stage and potentially fall off. He may be the reason why Golvis is unaffected by Power Pellets. Aside from his powers, he can be played like any other guitar, as demonstrated by Golvis.

"The reason why he was sent away last time was because he was so CLUMSY that all he did was cause problems. Right, boss?"

— Jack, Pac'N Roll

Although Jack is very loyal to Golvis at what he does, acting accordingly to his every will and command, there are times when even Jack himself can get fed up with Golvis's clumsiness, as evident in the end when he tells the Ghost Gang the real reason why Golvis was banished from Ghost Land, causing Golvis to cry.
