In Japanese promotional material for Pac-Mania, Funky is referred to as "Common".

Pac-Mania

At first, Funky appears as a standard ghost who huddles around Sue most of the time. Funkys never enter a 'scatter' position, as they always use Pac-Man as their target. Starting in Sandbox Land however, Funkys are given the ability to jump. Whenever Pac-Man jumps, Funky will jump with him, though not as high; a well-timed jump will allow Pac-Man to jump over them.

Funky appears in the Pac-Mania room, bouncing on a couch. If the player eats a Power Pellet, he will flee alongside Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde.

Pac-Man 256/Pac-Man 256+

Main article: Pac-Man 256

Funky returns in Pac-Man 256, alongside Spunky. Funky appears in groups of four, in which the group moves back and forth, stopping upon bumping into the maze walls. They do not directly attack Pac-Man, but move very fast.

Although Funky's behavior is largely unchanged in Pac-Man 256+, one minor revision was made. If Pac-Man eats a Power Pellet and then approaches a group of Funkys, they will break their formation and move away from Pac-Man. The same change was made to Sue.

The Sandbox Evolution

Main article: The Sandbox Evolution

Funky's behavior in The Sandbox Evolution is similar to their appearance in Pac-Man 256, except he can now appear as a lone ghost. Like before, Funky will move in one direction horizontally until he hits a wall, in which he'll start moving in the opposite direction.

Possible other appearances

These games feature a green ghost similar to Funky, but are not 100% confirmed to be him, as they do not refer to the ghost by name. It is possible they are merely generic green ghosts with no relation to Funky.

Pac-Man World

Main article: Pac-Man World

In the cutscene played when a new save file is created, a green ghost (referred to as Sentry Ghost in storyboards) catches Pac-Man traveling towards Ghost Island. He alerts Toc-Man, before nervously passing Pac-Man off as an impersonator of Toc-Man. It is then revealed that the ghosts, who intended to capture Pac-Man, accidentally kidnapped Ms. Pac-Man instead.

When asked in a Twitter DM if the green ghost had a name, Scott Rogers confirmed that it was actually Funky from Pac-Mania. It is unknown if this ghost was always intended to be Funky, or if Scott Rogers decided it retroactively. Regardless, no official media has confirmed this ghost to be Funky.

In Pac-Man World Re-Pac, the green ghost is replaced with Inky.

Pac-Man Vs.

A green Ghost appears as a playable character. They represent Player 4. Mario simply refers to them as "Green" when commentating.

Taisen Pac-Man

The fifth ghost is green, and is controlled by either a fifth player or a COM player. The shade of green used on the ghost resembles that of the green used on Funky in Pac-Man 256.

Pac-Man Tilt

Main article: Pac-Man Tilt

Alongside Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde, an unnamed green ghost appears, with slight resemblance to Funky. The Ghost appears in 2D on the title screen for the game alongside the others and makes reoccurring appearances from Stage 5 onwards.[1]

Due to not being present in Pac-Man Party, this ghost instead uses Patra's voice clips.
